My research interests are broadly categorized into three broad, yet overlapping domains: innovation (strategic management), entrepreneurship, and marketing. Across these three areas of interest, I take a multilevel perspective to understanding and investigating relevant constructs. Within the area of innovation, my interests focus on the enhancement and development of innovation in the workplace with a particular emphasis on the innovation context. Although I enjoy seeing the role of innovative products playing in our life, I am much more interested in getting the ‘inside story’ behind innovation investment and entrepreneurial spirit than we are in getting the latest news on the technology itself (because the technology news marketplace is already overflowing with minute-by-minute coverage of product releases). I am very excited to know how manufacturing and service firms can leverage their innovation. In terms of marketing, I am very interested in both marketing strategy and consumer behavior. From the point of marketing strategy, my research focuses on competitive marketing strategies, product and service innovation, among other issues. Also, I am interested in consumer behavior as well. In particular, personal innovativeness, behavioral intention and attitude of consumers towards new products. It is interesting if we understand the competitive marketing strategies addressing competitors' reactions to marketing actions, offering companies insight into ways to anticipate these reactions and use them as a part of strategizing. In addition, I am very much interested in understanding the emerging markets, simply because they are different in many ways and it is a challenge, for example, to understand the legal system, develop relationships to key decision makers in the society, cope with less developed infra-structure, understand and adapt to customers’ preferences and shopping habits, and to negotiate deals with business partners from a completely different culture. This may require adaptations of products, strategies, supply-chains and market activities in order to achieve a better fit. I believe this job fits me very well and I can contribute substantially in the research and teaching in your institution. Although I have already applied in your school, I am really wish to join your team and will be happy to give me such an opportunity. Recently, I have applied for a grant to conduct a an empirical research on Strategic orientation and differentiation strategy in the context of cosmetic companies.
